Instructions

  • First locate your XvT Install directory. In Steam you can right click on XvT and click on Manage > Browse Local Files. In GOG you can right click on XvT and click on Manage Installation > Show Folder
  • It is highly recommended that you create a copy of your original STAR WARS X-Wing vs TIE Fighter or Star Wars - XvT directory in case anything goes wrong.
  • First open the Combat directory in the zip file, and copy all the *.TIE files into your BalanceOfPower/Combat directory.
  • While we are here, inside your BalanceOfPower/Combat directory, look for the mission.lst file and open it with a text editor.
  • At the very top of the file (for ease of use), insert the lines of code that are provided in the combat-extra-lines.txt file.
  • Now open the Train directory in the zip file, and copy all the *.TIE files into your BalanceOfPower/Train directory.
  • Just as before, inside your BalanceOfPower/Train directory, look for the mission.lst file and open it with a text editor.
  • At the very top of the file (for ease of use), insert the lines of code that are provided in the train-extra-lines.txt file.

You should be ready to play! If you want to test that the installation went correctly, host a multiplayer game (Either manually or via GameRanger). You should see the new missions under Exercise and Combat Engagements.

If you are having trouble, don't hesitate to ask for help in the #xvt-superior-game channel over at TRA discord server, we will be happy to help.

Optional

If you are an advanced user, you may also edit rebel.lst and imperial.lst files to practice the missions in single player.

In the case of Training directory files, hexds* and hexduelR* belong to the rebel.lst, and hexduelE* belong to the imperial.lst file.

For Combat files, you can include the whole content of combat-extra-files.txt in both rebel.lst and imperial.lst
